Sensor based Metal sorting in Recycling – Practical experiences
Metal sorting for recycling issues is practised since hundreds of years and only since a couple of decades it is based on mechanical sorting in a bulky material stream.
Mechanical sorting with magnetic separators such as suspension magnets and magnetic drums or eddy current separators has been a big step ahead towards a continuous separation with defined and qualified results.
