Application of recycling materials in surface sealings

It has already been used as sealing system on landfills and brownfield sites using natural materials for the sandy fine layer and the subjacent gritty coarse layer (Melchior & Steinert 2001). With regard to the imminent scarcity of natural construction materials relating to the closure of landfills, the economic advantages and environmental concerns, the main purpose of this research was to examine and verify the suitability of waste recycling construction materials for their use in capillary barrier systems.
