Guideline for waste fuels
Due to the implementation of the Austrian landfill ordinance – since the 1st of January 2004 only pretreated waste can be landfilled – the amount of waste fuels has strongly increased.
Waste fuels are high calorific waste, which is used for the generation of energy in industrial facilities.
Due to the waste incineration ordinance (implementation of the waste incineration directive 2000/76/EC) the emissions to air are limited. But referring to the insertion of waste fuels in incineration plants there exist no limits for the load of pollutants to the residues or products (i.e. limits for the dilution).
